Thank you for always using “PicTrée.”
In the PicTrée Disaster Preparedness Championship 2026, we have confirmed cases in which photos were taken after entering private premises. We have received feedback from facility managers, and would like to share the following guidance once again regarding where photos may be taken.
◼️How to judge where you can take photos
The criterion is whether you need to enter the premises in order to take the photo. Even if equipment is installed on private property, it is eligible as long as it can be photographed from outside the premises, such as from a public road.
[Eligible Equipment]
Equipment that can be photographed from places anyone can pass through, such as public roads and parks
[Ineligible Equipment]
・Equipment that cannot be photographed without entering the grounds of commercial facilities, condominiums, companies, schools, hospitals, and similar premises
・Equipment located inside buildings
Designated fire-prevention properties (facilities listed in Appended Table 1 of the Enforcement Order of the Fire Service Act) are judged by the same criterion.
◼️A request when taking photos
・In places where the facility manager has asked that no photos be taken, please refrain from photographing even from outside the premises.
・Near schools, kindergartens, and nursery schools, please focus on the equipment itself so that the premises, children, or pupils are not captured in the photo.
・Please do not enter private grounds to take photos. Many facilities prohibit photography on their premises, whether for apps or social media.
・If a staff member of the facility speaks to you, always follow their instructions.
・If you are unsure, please refrain from taking the photo.
◼️How the operation team will respond
Points that had been set on private property will be removed by the PicTrée Operation Team in stages. Please note in advance that scores may change as a result of these removals.
In addition, if posts from private property continue to be made repeatedly after this notice, we may take measures such as invalidating those posts.
The purpose of this event is to learn about the disaster-prevention equipment in our towns. We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that no inconvenience is caused to local residents or facility operators.
We would also kindly ask that you review the etiquette for taking photos once again.
