Thank you for enjoying PicTrée.
We have received multiple reports from landowners and local community members that some players have entered private property or managed areas in order to photograph utility poles. We would like to make a strong request once again to all players.
“If a utility pole cannot be photographed from outside the property, do not photograph it.”
This is PicTrée’s fundamental principle. Entering private property, managed areas, or restricted zones for the purpose of taking photos is not permitted under any circumstances.
1. Places You Must Not Enter
Please do not enter the following places, regardless of whether fences, ropes, or signs are present.
• Private residential property (gardens, parking spaces, entrances, rear passageways, etc.)
• Grounds and common areas of apartment buildings and condominiums
• Grounds of stores, offices, factories, and warehouses
• Farmland, fields, rice paddies, footpaths between fields, and orchards
• Parking lots, monthly parking lots, and material storage yards
• Construction sites and managed areas for railways, rivers, and power facilities
• Grounds of schools, nurseries, hospitals, and welfare facilities
• Non-public areas of shrines, temples, and cemeteries
• Places marked “No Entry,” “Authorized Personnel Only,” “Private Property,” or similar
“Just for a moment,” “No one was around,” or “I couldn’t tell it apart from the road” are not acceptable reasons. If you are unsure whether a place is a public road, treat it as private property and do not enter.
2. If You Find a Utility Pole That Cannot Be Photographed
Do not force a photo. Please use the “Report” feature in the app to let us know that the pole cannot be photographed. The PicTrée Operation Team will review reported poles and take action such as suspending the spot or reviewing the shooting target. You will not be disadvantaged in any way for being unable to take a photo.
<How to Report>

① Tap the icon for the target asset
② Tap the megaphone icon in the top right
③ Check the applicable issue, such as “Located on private property,” and tap “Next”
④ If you have a useful photo, take one using the “Shoot” button, then tap “Submit”
3. If You Are Cautioned by a Resident or Property Manager
Do not leave the area. First, say “I’m sorry for causing you concern.” Then explain the purpose of your activity using the sample explanation below, and direct them to your Inspector ID and the inquiry contact. If you are given instructions, please comply promptly.
<Sample Explanation>
“I’m sorry for causing you concern. I am a player of a smartphone game called PicTrée, and I am helping with utility pole inspections for telecommunications and power companies. I only photograph utility poles — I never photograph homes or people. This is my certificate of activity (Inspector ID). You can also find details about the activity on the official PicTrée website (https://pictree.greenwaygrid.global).”

Responses such as “I’m just taking pictures of poles” or “Please contact operators for details” before leaving the area may cause further anxiety or misunderstanding. Please avoid this.
4. Action Taken When a Violation Is Confirmed
If entry into private property or a managed area is confirmed, we will verify the facts and may take measures against the player concerned, including a warning, revocation of rewards, or suspension of the account. We will also implement preventive measures such as suspending the spot or adding warning notices.
◼️To Local Landowners and Community Members
If you have experienced anything unpleasant, such as a player entering your property, please let us know at the contact below. Upon verifying the facts, we will work to correct the situation and prevent any recurrence.

PicTrée is an activity that contributes to society: the photos you take are used for infrastructure inspections by telecommunications and power companies. At the same time, a single instance of trespassing could damage the trust of local communities and jeopardize the continuation of the activity itself.
We ask for your continued understanding and cooperation in making PicTrée a safe, enjoyable, and long-lasting initiative.
