We’re excited to share the details of PicTrée’s new season, Operation Vines in Chiba & Ibaraki, held in Chiba and Ibaraki prefectures.
[Season Overview]
The main goal of this season is the early detection of vines and ivy (collectively referred to as “Vines”) growing around utility poles. A special “Vine Boost Period” will be set during the season. [How to Report Vines]
In this season, before sending your photo, you will be asked to select whether vines are present or not.
If you find vines during your photo shoot, please check where the tip of the vine reaches on the utility pole and select the appropriate option.
If there are no vines, select “No.” (You must select one of the options in order to send your image.)

[Photography Rewards and Vine Discovery Bonuses]
Photography rewards differ between regular Poles and Pole (Vine-Prone).
Poles | 60 (Equivalent to 5 yen) | None | Pole (Vine-Prone) | 1,200 (Equivalent to 100 yen) |
During the “Vines Boost Period,” if you take a photo of a utility pole with visible vines and the image is approved by the management team upon review, you will receive a “Vine Discovery Reward.”
Poles | 1,200 (Equivalent to 100 yen) | Pole (Vine-Prone) | 1,200 (Equivalent to 100 yen) |
*The “Vine Discovery Reward” is only granted for the first-time capture of a utility pole. Subsequent captures of the same pole are not eligible.
*Please note that not all “Pole (Vine-Prone)” will have vines actually attached.
*If you find vines but select “No” in the vine reporting section before sending the image, the “Vine Discovery Reward” will not be granted.
*Please do not select “Yes” if there are no visible vines. Repeated false reports may result in account suspension.
*The reward amount is subject to change in Season 2.
Also, since the “Vine Discovery Reward” is granted after review by the operations team, it will not be issued immediately after the image is submitted like the standard photo reward. The reward will be distributed on the following scheduled dates during the season:
